A Rolleston Builder for the Whole of Selwyn
Rolleston is in the middle of the district, twenty minutes from Christchurch on the motorway and about the same from Lincoln, West Melton and Darfield the other way, which is why it works as a base. Selwyn has been one of the fastest-growing districts in the country for two decades, and the housing reflects it: a great many houses less than fifteen years old that were finished to a standard spec and are now getting the deck, the better bathroom or the opened-up living area their owners always meant to have, alongside the older villas, farm cottages and 1970s brick houses of the original towns.
Building consents in the district are issued by Selwyn District Council, and where a job needs one - a structural alteration, a high deck, a new window in an outside wall - Adam deals with the council as part of the job. Work in the south-western suburbs of Christchurch goes through Christchurch City Council in the same way, and work in Mid Canterbury through Ashburton District Council.

Builders for Rolleston
Home base. Most of Rolleston was built after 2005 and a lot of it after the earthquakes, so the work here is less about old houses and more about making a newer one fit the family: a bathroom that was builder-basic when the house was new, a deck the section never got, a wall between the kitchen and the lounge that nobody wanted.
Builders for Lincoln and Prebbleton
Older established streets around Lincoln's centre and the university, and new subdivisions on the edges of both towns. Villas and 1960s to 1980s houses in the old parts that are due bathrooms, kitchens and rot repairs; new houses on the fringes that want decks, fences and sheds.

Lifestyle blocks and newer houses on bigger sections, which means outdoor structures: decks, verandas, sleepouts, greenhouses and sheds, and the ramps and handrails that make a house work for older family members.

Darfield, Kirwee, Sheffield and the farms between them. Older weatherboard houses and farm cottages that need honest repair work - rotten sills and joists, tired bathrooms, doors that no longer shut - and the odd bigger alteration.

Rakaia, Ashburton, Methven and the farms and lifestyle blocks between them, under an hour from Rolleston down State Highway 1. Older weatherboard and brick houses in Ashburton and Tinwald, farmhouses out on the plains, and holiday homes around Methven - bathrooms, kitchens, decks and the repairs that come with an older house.
How Far Do You Go?
Rolleston and everything within about twenty minutes of it is our patch: Lincoln, Prebbleton, Springston, Templeton, West Melton, Burnham, Weedons, and the Christchurch suburbs of Hornby, Halswell, Wigram, Yaldhurst and Riccarton. Darfield, Kirwee, Leeston, Southbridge and the rest of the Ellesmere and Malvern areas are a longer run that we do regularly. Mid Canterbury - Rakaia, Ashburton, Methven and the farms between them - is a run we make regularly too; it is under an hour from Rolleston down State Highway 1. If you are further out than that, ring anyway - for the right job we will travel, and it costs nothing to ask.
The Same Work Everywhere
Wherever the house is, the list is the same: bathroom renovations, alterations and relining, decks, ramps and garden buildings, and the repairs in between. What changes is the house. A 1970s brick-and-tile in Hornby, a 2015 subdivision house in Rolleston and a farm cottage outside Darfield each come with their own version of a tired bathroom or a wall in the wrong place, and Adam has worked on all three kinds.
